United World Telecom, LC (UWT) makes no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the coverage areas for GSM SIM cards. Your wireless coverage area may vary significantly depending on various factors including but not limited to: your mobile phone, network changes, traffic volume, service outages, technical limitations, signal strength, terrain, structures, weather, and other conditions that may interfere with actual service, quality and availability, including the ability to make, receive and maintain calls.
Prices and Restrictions
Per minute rates and package prices are subject to change without prior notification.
UWT will make reasonable efforts to inform customers of rate changes by posting announcements on the online account management system. Customer agrees to check possible rate changes through online account management system and also agrees not to hold UWT liable for any price differences as a result of changes in per minute rates or fees. UWT reserves the right to restrict calls to certain destinations in order to prevent fraudulent activities. List of countries and destinations available for calling are listed on our web site. Customer agrees to check this availability list before purchasing. No refund will be issued for requests made by the customer due to inaccessible or restricted destination. When using USA SIM cards for international calls, some of the premium or special destinations may be charged same as the fixed line calls while some others may be charged same as the mobile calls due to cost variations on these destinations. All advertised UWT promotions are applicable ONLY to the initially purchased package value. All future recharges and call credit purchases are excluded from promotions unless otherwise stated clearly on the advertisements. The promotions do not apply to phone purchases unless the phone is included in the purchased package. Promotion codes will be valid either for three months from the date of original advertisement (applicable to magazine ads) or until the last day of advertised promotion (applicable to online ad promotions) and may not be used or combined with any other promotions.
Cell Phone Returns & Warranty Policy
Our cell phones are refurbished unless advertised as “New” on our web site. Although all our phones are tested for optimal operation before being shipped, some of these refurbished phones may have minor scratches or after market batteries. These are normal for low cost refurbished phones and cannot be used as basis for refunds or exchanges. There is a 30 day limited warranty on all phones starting from the date of receipt of the phone. If there is any technical malfunction, the phone may be returned for a refund or exchange during this 30 day period. No refunds or exchanges will be authorized for malfunctioning phones that are damaged as a result of abusive use or water / liquid exposure.
UWT will not issue any refunds on SIM products and available call credit for problems resulting from cell phone compatibility, network coverage, network failure or default of underlying provider(s). Unused SIM cards may be returned within 7 days of receipt only if they are in the original condition in which they were received. A credit will be issued for unused SIM cards after deducting the shipping charge and a $9.00 restocking fee. SIM cards purchased with free shipping option will be subject to $5.00 shipping charge deduction when returned. The customer is fully responsible for the return shipping costs.
Recharge purchases, unused call credit, and activated SIM cards are not refundable, unless deemed defective. If suspecting a defect, the customer agrees to notify UWT promptly of technical difficulties in using the hardware. Failure to notify UWT of hardware problems forfeits the purchaser of any and all claims for compensation due to equipment failure. Open-boxed cell phones are returnable within 7 days from the date received and are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Please note that we do not refund shipping charges. Phones must be in mint condition with no signs of wear or use, even if they are defective when received. We cannot accept even slightly worn cell phones or accessories. It is also imperative that the product box be returned inside a FedEx or other suitable shipping box. Defacing the manufacturer's phone box by writing anywhere on it or by pasting shipping labels on it makes it impossible to sell as a used product or to be returned to the manufacturer. If you deface the box, you buy the phone!
Telephone Numbers: SIM Card
Any and all rights attached to the telephone number attributed to Customer and attached to the Service provided to you by UWT remain vested in UWT. Accordingly, UWT may change, withdraw or otherwise alter such telephone number or any other address-element at its discretion, without damages payable to Customer, should any technical, commercial reason as well as any applicable regulations so require. The SIM Card, all technology and intellectual property as part of the SIM Card remains the property of or is licensed to UWT, which grants to you a non-exclusive license to Customer the Services and preserves UWT’s rights to alter and develop its content as well as claiming its return.
Customer is responsible for all shipping charges. We do not require a signature or a release form for domestic shipments. All packages arrive with no signature requirement. UWT accepts no responsibility for the non-receipt of shipments.
Verification and Right to Refuse an Order
UWT reserves the right to refuse any order received without any particular reason. If an order is refused, we will notify the customer through the e-mail address provided at the time of ordering. If an order is accepted, we will issue an order confirmation to the email address provided at the time of ordering. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your credit or debit card details before processing your order. If necessary, we reserve the right to contact you to obtain information to verify your identity in order to prevent fraud. We may require you to provide additional information including a copy of your passport, driving license and/or utility bill to verify your identity. If we do not receive such additional information or the information provided to us does not verify the customer's identity we reserve the right to refuse the order.
Any times or dates stated on the Website for delivery are estimates only. UWT will dispatch the ordered products within 2 working days from the date your order has been received and approved. UWT will contact the customer if there is any unexpected delay in processing an order. UWT will make all reasonable efforts to deliver ordered products within the times specified, but does not accept liability for failure to deliver within that time period.
Expiration and Reactivation
SIM cards purchased from UWT have limited validity depending on the specific plan and SIM card type as published on UWTMobile.Com web site.
>> Global Roaming SIM Cards Every successful recharge will extend the validity of the SIM card for the published number of months for Global Roaming SIM cards. After a Global Roaming SIM card has expired all the remaining call credit will be forfeited and the phone number will be canceled. Reactivation of an expired Global Roaming SIM card may be possible in some cases however Customer will be required to make a minimum call credit purchase in order to activate an expired SIM card. Global SIM cards with no usage activity for 24 months will be canceled.
>> USA SIM Cards USA SIM cards will remain active for 180 days after every call activity or from the time of initial purchase. Expiration of a USA SIM card will automatically trigger the cancellation of the attached USA Mobile phone number. However, an expired USA SIM card will be available for re-activation within the following 180 days with a different USA Mobile phone number and with a $10 re-activation fee. Remaining call credit in an expired USA SIM card will also be available for another 180 days upon re-activation. Customer is required to make a minimum call credit purchase for re-activation if the remaining call credit in an expired USA SIM card is $0.00.
